YUNGBLUD plays Portugal festival in a wheelchair with a broken leg

The singer, injured in a motorcycle accident, kept his CA Vilar de Mouros set and still managed to crowdsurf during the performance

YUNGBLUD went ahead with his Portuguese festival appearance despite breaking his leg in a motorcycle accident. The British singer performed at CA Vilar de Mouros from a wheelchair, and still found a way to crowdsurf during the set.

Days earlier, Dom had shared the extent of the injury on social media and insisted his shows in Portugal and Belgium would go ahead as planned. Fan footage from the festival spread quickly online, showing him fronting the set seated and being helped toward the barrier by his team.

Speaking to fans on his community channel after the show, he thanked the Portuguese crowd for the energy and praised the team that flew out to assist him. "I can't believe we got through last night", he said, admitting he was still in pain but confirming the next date remained on for Friday.

In the same message, YUNGBLUD explained that he had also damaged ligaments in his knee and plans to undergo surgery once the following show is done. His stated goal is to recover fully and be in shape for next year's touring schedule.

He also asked the crowd at the upcoming date to make up for his physical limitations with volume and intensity, saying he needs that energy to get through the performance.
