Starset take on a haunted prison in new 'Paranormal Prison' episode
Filmed at the 2026 Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival, the episode sends the band and their families into the Ohio State Reformatory's sub-basement.
Starset are the featured guests on the fifth episode of Paranormal Prison's fourth season, joining hosts Josh Bernstein (The Power Hour, Z2) and Katrina Weidman (Portals to Hell) for an investigation inside one of the most notorious haunted prisons in the world.
The episode was shot during the 2026 edition of the Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival, a Danny Wimmer Presents event staged at the Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio. This installment doubles as a family outing, with Ron DeChant, Brock Richards, Adam Gilbert, Siobhan Richards, Zuzana Engererova and Cory Juba joined by kids as they head into the sub-basement, an area tied to the covered-up death of a tortured inmate.
"It's got a really weird energy, so I'm definitely into that," bassist DeChant says before the investigation begins, stopping short of calling himself a believer. Once inside, the group tries a simple yes-or-no question, asking whether they're missing Papa Roach's festival set. The "dead bell" dings once in confirmation.
The space has produced plenty of activity in the past, but the size of the group appears to have unsettled the spirit, which indicates as much when asked about the crowd. After one of the kids asks whether they should leave, producer Cyrus Entezam reports a light whoosh rushing past him, something Weidman says she felt as well.
All eight episodes of the new season air Fridays at 1PM ET, exclusively on Loudwire's YouTube channel. Inkcarceration returns annually to the reformatory, which operated from 1896 to 1990 and appeared in The Shawshank Redemption.
