Joyce Manor win Album Of The Year at Rock Sound Awards 2026 for 'I Used To Go To This Bar'
The Californian trio's seventh record took the prize powered by Slam Dunk Festival, in a year that brought a Coachella set and an upcoming headlining arena show.
Joyce Manor have been named winners of Album Of The Year at the Rock Sound Awards 2026 for 'I Used To Go To This Bar'. The category is powered by Slam Dunk Festival and honours the seventh full-length from the Californian trio.
The record was described as punchy and heartbreaking, with moments of genuine humour running through it. It proved to be the album that finally brought the band wider recognition, with waves of new listeners discovering their catchy take on punk rock after years of building a following on their own terms.
The campaign around 'I Used To Go To This Bar' also unlocked a set of career firsts for the group, including a Coachella appearance and a headlining arena show still to come. In the awards issue, the band look back at how the album came together and at the milestones that followed its release.
The full feature appears in the new issue of Rock Sound magazine, which is being sold alongside collector's items: an exclusive gold foil t-shirt, a limited edition coin and a playable flexi-disc postcard. The bundle is available now through the publication's official store.
