Narrow Head's Kora Puckett signs to TODO Records and shares "In My Veins"
The guitarist, who has also played with Sheer Mag and Angel Du$t, leans into country-tinged indie rock ahead of a solo debut album due in 2027.
Kora Puckett, best known as a guitarist in Narrow Head, is officially going solo. The Indiana-born, Los Angeles-based musician has signed to TODO Records and marked the announcement with a new single called "In My Veins."
Puckett's resume runs through the harder end of alternative rock, with stints in the Berries, Sheer Mag and Angel Du$t. His solo material heads somewhere else entirely, trading that weight for country-leaning indie rock. He first tested the waters in 2024 with a three-song EP.
The musician frames the new track as a turning point in how he approaches writing and recording, describing the idea of keeping things loose and open while surrounding himself with artists he can lean on.
The accompanying video, directed by Justice Vaughn Ott, matches the song's relaxed mood, following Puckett around Los Angeles as he digs through records, plays with a dog and strums his guitar on a front porch.
His debut solo album is expected sometime in 2027, with no firm release date announced yet.
