A busy week of touring news brought a wave of rock and metal announcements, led by end-of-year shows curated by bands from the alternative scene. Hot Mulligan set Ho-Ho Hot Mulligan for Dec. 19 at Russell Industrial Center in Detroit, with Joyce Manor, Touché Amoré, Pool Kids, Matt Kerekes, Kerosene Heights, Wakelee, Flycatcher, House & Home and Bike Routes filling out the bill.

He Is Legend followed with their Holiday Hootenanny, booked for Dec. 18 at Cat's Cradle in Carrboro, North Carolina. Maylene and the Sons of Disaster, Vanna, Bronco and Valetta are on support duty.

On the touring side, The Interrupters announced a new headline stretch running March 17 through May 2, with a rotating cast of openers that includes The Mainliners, The Aquabats, Rat Boy and The Bandulus. Greta Van Fleet went a different route, booking a residency at Nashville's Basement East from Oct. 3 to 17 with tickets priced at $20, while High on Fire locked in dates carrying them through the end of the year.

Festival reveals piled up as well. The 2027 Something in the Way Festival takes over Roadrunner in Boston from Feb. 4-6 with The Jesus and Mary Chain, Trapped Under Ice, Wednesday, Turnover, Meat Puppets, Incendiary and Nothing. AURA Fest hits District Live in Savannah, Georgia on Jan. 23 with Callous Daoboys, Oh Sleeper, Left to Suffer and Great American Ghost, and Riverfront Revolt lands Jan. 30 in LaCrosse, Wisconsin behind I Prevail and The Plot in You.

There was scheduling fallout too: Dead Poet Society cancelled and rescheduled portions of their co-headline run with Honeys Revenge, moving dates in Chicago, Denver, Salt Lake City, Seattle, Portland and Anaheim while scrapping several others and adding a new show in Berkeley, California.
