Creeper turn the camera on their fans in 'Parasite' video, announce live film
The 'Sanguivore II: Mistress Of Death' track gets a crowd-focused clip from Harry Steel, who will also shoot the band's first full-length concert film in London.
Creeper have released a video for 'Parasite', lifted from their latest album 'Sanguivore II: Mistress Of Death'. Rather than centring the band, the clip points the lens at the audience, capturing elaborate costumes, detailed make-up looks and fans screaming every word back at the stage.
The video was shot by longtime collaborator Harry Steel. Frontman William Von Ghould said the group quickly realised the real drama of their shows was unfolding in the crowd rather than onstage, which led to turning the camera around. He described the finished piece as a love letter to the fans of the band's vampire era, crediting their dedication and emotional connection to the songs for making that world feel far larger than expected.
Alongside the clip, Creeper confirmed that Steel will direct their first full-length live concert film. It will be captured at the band's London date on the 'Off With Their Heads!' tour, which begins in October. Von Ghould called the run the most ambitious of their career and noted that the band has never documented a full live show on film before.
The tour opens on 8 October at Cardiff's Tramshed, followed by London's O2 Forum Kentish Town on 9 October, Manchester Academy on 10 October and Glasgow's SWG3 Galvanisers on 11 October.
