Tom DeLonge Tears Up as Padres Crowd Sings "All the Small Things"
FS1 cameras caught the blink-182 guitarist having a moment during San Diego's home playoff game against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Tom DeLonge has performed "All the Small Things" countless times, but Tuesday night gave him a new angle on the song. The blink-182 guitarist, a lifelong San Diego Padres fan, was sitting field-side for the team's home playoff game against the Milwaukee Brewers when the track blasted through the ballpark in the eighth inning, a bit of a tradition at Padres games.
FS1 cameras found DeLonge appearing to tear up as more than 43,000 fans sang the chorus back at him. "What a cool moment here in San Diego," announcer Adam Amin said, noting the depth of the band's late-'90s and 2000s pop-punk catalog and the strangeness of hearing a stadium sing your own hit. Broadcast partner Adam Wainwright suggested the scene amounted to a musician's version of the World Series.
Once the camera got close, DeLonge shook off the emotion and played along, delivering the "work sucks, I know" line to the lens alongside the crowd. The clip was shared by the @MLBONFOX account. On the field, the Padres held on for a 4-3 win, cutting Milwaukee's lead in the best-of-five series to 2-1.
blink-182 currently sits between albums. Nothing is on the band's touring calendar for the rest of 2026, but the schedule resumes in 2027 with a European run booked for the summer, including stops at Rock for People, Rock im Park and Rock am Ring.
