The Used Join a Ghost Hunt on New Episode of 'Paranormal Prison'

Filmed at the Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival, the episode takes the band through the abandoned wings of the Ohio State Reformatory.

The Used are the guests on the second episode of Paranormal Prison's fourth season, joining hosts Josh Bernstein and Katrina Weidman for an investigation inside one of the most notoriously haunted prisons anywhere. The episode was shot at the 2026 edition of the Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival, held at the Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio.

The show pairs believers with skeptics and hands them equipment designed to pick up anything moving through the decaying, abandoned sections of the building. Using a device the team calls the "dead bell," they ask whether the spirit present had been an inmate and get nothing back. The response only comes when Weidman asks if it had been a guard instead. A string of lights is later laid out as another possible channel for communication.

The band members brought their own stories. Singer Bert McCracken recalled living in a house once inhabited by Charlie Chaplin in the early 1900s, describing it as a place where doors slammed constantly and nobody would go down the long staircase. Bassist Jepha Howard said he lived in a house that was "full haunted," and described a touring friend who woke up to find every square object in his closed room, passport included, balanced at an angle.

All eight episodes of the new season air Fridays at 1PM ET on Loudwire's YouTube channel, following a season premiere featuring Motionless in White. Inkcarceration takes place annually at the Ohio State Reformatory, which broke ground in 1886, operated as a prison from 1896 to 1990 and appeared in The Shawshank Redemption. The festival is one of several run by Danny Wimmer Presents, whose roster also includes Louder Than Life, Sonic Temple, Aftershock and Welcome to Rockville.
