Sleep Theory drop 'Giving In', their first new song since 'Afterglow'

The track arrives days before the band begins a run of UK and European arena dates supporting Papa Roach, starting in Glasgow on November 1.

Sleep Theory have released 'Giving In', their first piece of original music since debut album 'Afterglow'. The song leans on everything the band does best: an immediate hook, an openly vulnerable lyric and heavy, chugging turns that pull equally from pop sensibility and metalcore force.

It follows '(E)motional (S)upport (C)are (P)ackage', a short collection in which the group tackled three of their favourite covers, among them a rework of Paramore's 'My Heart'. Since their debut, the band have grown into one of the most talked-about new names in heavy music.

The release lands just ahead of a lengthy stretch on the road. Sleep Theory open for Papa Roach across the UK and Europe from next week, beginning November 1 at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow and continuing through Dublin, Birmingham, Manchester, London, Cardiff and Rotterdam.

From there the run takes in München, Bergamo, Katowice, Berlin, Hamburg, Köln, Leipzig, Praha, Frankfurt, Bruxelles and Zürich, before wrapping up in December with shows in Paris on the 1st, Madrid on the 4th and Lyon on the 6th. With most stops in arenas, the new material is built to translate on a considerably larger scale live.
