Public Works announce new EP 'Forklift Certified' on Hopeless Records

The record arrives February 26, 2027, and lead single 'Boy Scout' is out now

Published on · Reported from Rock Sound

Public Works have unveiled the details of their new EP. Titled 'Forklift Certified', the release is due on Hopeless Records on February 26, 2027, with the artwork revealed alongside the announcement.

Leading the campaign is 'Boy Scout', the first single lifted from the EP and available now. The track is pop-punk at its most preppy, vibrant and self-aware, a bright introduction to what the band have been building toward.

Lyrically, 'Boy Scout' sits with the realisation that there are things in your past you won't be proud of, yet those moments are exactly what shaped the person you've become, for better or worse. It's a familiar feeling, handled here in a way that stays playful without losing its weight.

The signing places Public Works on one of the most established homes for pop-punk and alternative rock, a label with deep roots in the genre. 'Boy Scout' serves as the first glimpse of the record, with more expected before 'Forklift Certified' lands in early 2027.
