NOAHFINNCE releases 'WONKY', his first fully acoustic song in eight years
Written with As It Is members Patty Walters and Ben Langford-Biss, the track arrives days before a run of UK headline shows.
NOAHFINNCE has put out 'WONKY', a new song co-written with Patty Walters and Ben Langford-Biss of As It Is. Built around acoustic guitar, the track leans into a confessional tone before closing with a swell of strings.
The artist says it is his first entirely acoustic song since 'Asthma Attack', released eight years ago. The idea came from Walters, who asked why Noah had never written a classic acoustic emo song. Noah described the result as "another NOAHFINNCE song to cry to".
Lyrically, the song deals with accepting being different and letting go of the belief that you need to change in order to be worthy. 'WONKY' follows the earlier single 'TOO SENSITIVE'.
NOAHFINNCE begins a UK tour next week, with stops in Cardiff (Y Plas, October 22), Birmingham (O2 Institute, 23), Leeds (Stylus, 24), Nottingham (Rescue Rooms, 26), London (Electric Ballroom, 27), Glasgow (Saint Lukes, 29), Newcastle (Newcastle University, 30) and Manchester (Academy 2, 31).
The singer was also a recent guest on Rock Sound's 7of30 series.
