Niis Drop New Single and Video 'No Flowers' Ahead of 'Play Niis' EP

The Los Angeles band's latest track arrives with a cyberpunk-styled clip directed by Marië Ramos, with the Rise Records EP due 23rd October

Los Angeles band Niis have released 'No Flowers', the newest single from their forthcoming EP "Play Niis", scheduled for 23rd October through Rise Records. The song arrives alongside a glitch-heavy, cyberpunk-leaning music video directed and edited by Marië Ramos.

Distorted and intense, the track follows 'Earthquakes', which surfaced earlier in the month. Vocalist Mimi Doe sings "I just wanna feel alive", a line that sits at the centre of the song's theme.

Doe says much of the record deals with the pressure to fit into societal monotony, and how easy it is to stop doing the things that bring joy. Capturing that feeling in the lyrics, she explains, was the goal with this particular track.

Produced by Austin Coupe and Michael Shuman, "Play Niis" collects six songs built around the search for joy and connection in a disconnected world. Artwork for the release has also been unveiled.

Niis will spend the coming weeks on the road across the United States in support of Movements, Balance & Composure and Midrift. The run opens 7th October in Seattle and continues through Portland, San Jose, Denver, Chicago, New York, Boston, Atlanta and Dallas, among others, before wrapping in mid-November. The final date listed is a festival appearance at Vans Warped Tour in Orlando on 15th November.
