MOTHICA opens a new chapter with the single 'My Confession'

MOTHICA is back with 'My Confession', a new single that kicks off a fresh chapter in her catalogue. The song leans into atmospheric post-hardcore, moving between delicate verses and towering choruses built around a hook designed to land hard.
The artist says the track arrived almost on its own. She wrote it as a stream of consciousness, recording verse after verse into a bare-bones home setup. Lyrically, the perspective shifts throughout the song, moving from her relationship with her fans to past relationships and then to her addiction.
She brought the demo to the studio, where producer Elliot Polokoff and co-writer Trever Stewart helped shape a chorus that sums up the central idea: holding onto pain because it feels comfortable. MOTHICA singled out one line as the one she is proudest of, 'it's easier when I suffer / gives me reason to bite', explaining that anger is often easier to sit with than grief or sadness.
'My Confession' follows the 'Somewhere In Between' EP, released earlier this year, which featured 'Save Your Roses'. Around that release, MOTHICA appeared on an episode of the 7of30 podcast.
The new single is out now on streaming platforms.
