Lamonta release debut album "Here's The Thing…"
The twelve-track record blends pop punk and skate punk and is out on vinyl through Double Felix Records, Punk Rock Radar and Disconnect Disconnect Records
Lamonta have put out their first full-length record, "Here's The Thing…", now available across streaming platforms and on vinyl. The US pressing comes courtesy of Double Felix Records and Punk Rock Radar, while Disconnect Disconnect Records handles the release in the United Kingdom.
The album collects a dozen songs, including previously issued singles "Your Favorite Song", "Addicted" and "Moving On". Across the tracklist the band moves between pop punk hooks and the faster tempos associated with skate punk.
Production and recording were handled in-house by band members Kyle Olson and Jason Chase at Lamonta Lane Studios. The finished record pairs the speed of 1990s and 2000s skate punk with a cleaner, more contemporary studio sheen.
The release closes out the singles campaign that preceded it and marks the group's first long-player. "Here's The Thing…" is streaming now, with vinyl copies available through the three labels involved.
