Julia Wolf brings in Kellin Quinn for new track 'Lamb'
The song leans hard into mid-2000s post-hardcore and emo, with the Sleeping With Sirens frontman handling both clean vocals and screams.
Julia Wolf has released a new song called 'Lamb', and she's joined on it by Sleeping With Sirens vocalist Kellin Quinn. The collaboration puts both singers on a track that openly draws from mid-2000s post-hardcore and emo.
The arrangement is built on jangly chords, heavily emotional melodies and a distinctly vintage sense of melancholy. Quinn moves between softer croons and harsher screams across the song, bridging the era that shaped the sound and the artists still working within it today.
The accompanying video includes a nod to Sleeping With Sirens' 'With Eyes To Hear And Ears To See'. 'Lamb' arrives after 'Deep End', Wolf's previous single.
Wolf is also about to launch an extensive tour on both sides of the Atlantic. The North American run starts in September with dates in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Orlando, Atlanta, Charlotte, Nashville, Washington and Philadelphia, before October stops in New York, Boston, Toronto, Columbus, Cleveland, Grand Rapids, Indianapolis, Denver, Salt Lake City, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
The European leg opens on November 17 in Dublin at the Button Factory, followed by Glasgow, Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester and a London show at KOKO on November 25. Cologne and Paris close out November, with Amsterdam, Brussels and Berlin following in December. The tour wraps on December 4 at Hole 44 in Berlin.
