heaven in her arms announce new album 'The End Of Purification'
The Japanese screamo band's fourth full-length arrives November 13 via Banshies, their first since 2017's 'White Halo'.
heaven in her arms have laid out the full details of their fourth studio album. 'The End Of Purification' is set for release on November 13 through Banshies, following 2017's 'White Halo'.
The record contains seven tracks and features a pair of guest appearances. Opener 'Dawn Yarn' features PG2 of ENSLAVE, while 'Spilt Prayers' brings in NetakoNekota of JYOCHO and heliotrope. The rest of the tracklist runs through 'Threads of Collapse', 'The Moon That Falls Only Here', 'Zanka', 'Iron wire and a canary' and 'Red Dream', each also credited with a Japanese title.
The first song to be shared is 'The Moon That Falls Only Here', a sprawling piece of post-hardcore that moves between atmospheric stretches and crushing build-ups, in line with the band's long-running approach to screamo.
Discussing the track, the band described it as their answer to classic melancholic records, pointing to the contrast between a lush chorus and a mid-section they consider possibly the heaviest moment on the album. Artwork for 'The End Of Purification' was revealed alongside the announcement.
Active since the 2000s, heaven in her arms have become one of the most widely recognised names in Japanese screamo abroad, known for extended arrangements, extreme dynamics and lyrics written in Japanese. The new album closes a gap of nearly a decade between full-lengths.
