Hayley Williams fires back at DHS over her "Fuck ICE" stage remarks

Hayley Williams is in a public back-and-forth with the Department of Homeland Security after shouting "Fuck ICE" and "Free Palestine" during her show in Chula Vista, California on Saturday, Oct. 3. The remarks came as she performed "Ice In My OJ," a track from her album Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party.

The agency responded through the press. A DHS spokesperson told Fox News Digital that the country is grateful for its federal law enforcement officers and suggested Williams thank them for their service rather than belittle their sacrifice.

The Paramore frontwoman did not soften her position. She fired back on her Instagram Story with a blunt message aimed at the agency's statement, keeping the same tone she used onstage. Williams has a track record of needling conservative figures in the US, including a widely circulated jab aimed at Morgan Wallen.

On the same day as the exchange, Williams was announced as part of Primavera Sound's 2027 lineup, one of the festival's deepest bills to date. Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party is her most recent solo release, and its songs have anchored her current run of live dates.

The incident underlines how political Williams' shows have become, with the singer using the space between songs to address immigration enforcement and the situation in Palestine in front of the crowds following the tour.
