Friday, October 2nd, 2026 brings one of the busiest release days of the year for fans of pop punk, emo and melodic hardcore. The weekly calendar put together by Chorus.fm lists dozens of albums, and two post-hardcore mainstays share the same date: From First To Last with "We Were Bleeding Anyway" and Escape The Fate with "The Last Goodbye".

Emo is well represented too. Free Throw returns with a deluxe edition of "Moments Before The Wind", while Sunrise Skater Kids deliver "Friendworld". On the heavier side of the scene, the day includes "No Place For Me" by Miss May I, "Death Of The Altar" by Of Virtue, "Axis Mundi" by Imminence and "Liberation Front" by To The Grave.

Alternative and indie rock fill out much of the list, with "Monarch" by Dead Poet Society, "Separation From The Animals" by Twin Atlantic, "Nature's Pill" by Wishy, "My Midwest Best" by Knox and "Pursuit Of Anything" by Vacations. Walt Disco issue a self-titled record and Blossoms arrive with "Songs From The Wedding Cake".

Outside the scene, the date carries several high-profile titles: "Perfecth" by Queens Of The Stone Age, "The Age Of Everything" by Johnny Marr and "The Allfather Awakens" by Amon Amarth, plus new music from Deerhoof, Susanne Sundfør, Victoria Monét and Miranda Lambert.

The full rundown also features Ghøstkid, Butcher Babies, Satellite Citi, Tigress, Harker, Basement Alchemy, Rapidly Aging and Garden Eyes, covering everything from metalcore to experimental electronics. Chorus.fm credits helloiamzach with additional contributions to this week's list.
