FFO: Chillin' announce debut album High Horse and share "Fresh Start"
The Concord, New Hampshire band signed to DAZE and will release a 16-song full-length on November 6.
FFO: Chillin' have announced High Horse, their debut full-length, due November 6 through DAZE. The Concord, New Hampshire band previewed the record with the new single "Fresh Start".
The track is a quick summary of how the group operates: it runs just 85 seconds and leans on a messy, head-rush energy, pairing emo-rap vocal cadences with alt-leaning pop-punk and the occasional breakdown. That approach also explains the album's size. High Horse packs in 16 songs, most of them extremely short, and the band produced it themselves.
Before the album, FFO: Chillin' had released a couple of EPs and the singles "All I Know" and "Forward Motion", the latter now appearing on the tracklist under the title "Forward Perpetual Motion". Their deal with DAZE is a notable pairing, since the label's roster is built largely around heavy hardcore rather than pop-punk.
Onstage, the band recently played shows opening for Joyce Manor and Glitterer. Their only currently scheduled date is November 29 at Blue in Portland, Maine.
High Horse includes "Blackout", "40 Hours", "Not That I Know/The Biz", "Forward Perpetual Motion", "The Difference", "Remedy", "All I Know", "Fresh Start", "Tweak Out", "Net Worth", "Tomorrow", "Tragic", "Plate", "Moment", "Off The Junk" and "Infinite Grind Cheat".
