Dazy shares "Unreasonable Person" ahead of MAXIMUMBLASTSUPERLOUD Vol. 2
The compilation collects 24 tracks recorded between 2023 and 2026, including seven new songs, and arrives October 23 via Lame-O Records.
Dazy, the project of Richmond musician James Goodson, has released "Unreasonable Person," the latest preview of the compilation MAXIMUMBLASTSUPERLOUD Vol. 2: 24 Songs From 2023-2026. The track leans on the approach that has defined the project: oversized hooks built out of classic alternative rock parts and buried under layers of fuzz.
The collection arrives October 23 through Lame-O Records and gathers 24 songs from the period, seven of them previously unreleased. "Beat Change" and "Ugly" were issued earlier as advance singles.
Goodson's more recent output has folded breakbeats and samples into the fuzz-pop template, adding texture to riffs and melodies that already worked on impact. Output has never been an issue for the project, which has kept up a steady release pace since its first songs.
Dazy's catalog also includes "Pressure Cooker," the 2022 collaboration with Militarie Gun that remains the project's best-known track beyond the fuzz-pop circuit. Pre-orders for MAXIMUMBLASTSUPERLOUD Vol. 2 are open now.
