Cult Crime Announce Second Album Fully Automatic, Share Two Songs
The Toronto punk band, which began as a Matthew Menard solo project, follows up last year's debut with a 12-track LP due later this month.
Cult Crime have announced Fully Automatic, their second full-length, arriving later this month. The Toronto band previewed the record with two songs, "Final Dose" and "Just Like A Knife."
The project started as a solo outlet for Matthew Menard, also of Psychic Void, who issued a demo under the Cult Crime name in 2023. The lineup has since expanded into a four-piece featuring members who have played in Chain Whip, Imploders and the Vapids.
Last year's self-titled debut delivered snotty, trashy punk rock modeled on the late '70s and early '80s. The two new tracks keep that course, with plenty of Ramones and Dead Boys in their grimy, reckless rock 'n' roll attack.
Fully Automatic carries 12 songs in total, including "Dine In Debt," "Total Waste," "Cold Case," the title track, "No One On The Line," "Product," "Shot To Hell," "Behind The Badge," "Out For Blood" and "Dying In The City."
