Chasing The Fall premiere "City Lights" video, written during a stay in the States
The British pop-punk band's new single centers on leaving a small town behind, with frontman Andy McMullin calling it a song about chasing something bigger.
British pop-punk band Chasing The Fall have released the music video for their new single "City Lights." The clip premiered Monday (15) via Chorus.fm.
Frontman Andy McMullin says the track grew out of the experience of coming from a small town and reaching for something larger. He notes the song was written while the band was staying in the United States, and that the trip shaped the writing in a significant way.
McMullin describes the song as capturing the tangle of emotions that comes with that kind of leap: chasing a dream while feeling scared, anxious and excited about taking a chance without knowing where it leads.
It's familiar ground for UK pop punk, a scene long built on songs about leaving home, restlessness and the pull of somewhere bigger. "City Lights" and its video are out now, and the band is pointing fans to its official channels for updates on what comes next.
