Brooklyn emo band Cotillion share debut single "gm"
The new project features members of Crush Fund, Killing Pixies and look at the bones., with engineering and mixing by Gary Cioni.
Cotillion, a new emo band based in Brooklyn, have put out their first song. Titled "gm", the track is available digitally now and serves as the group's official introduction.
The lineup draws from several corners of the American independent scene, pulling in members of Crush Fund, Killing Pixies and look at the bones. That overlap of familiar names has given the debut more attention than a single song release usually gets.
"gm" was engineered, mixed and mastered by Gary Cioni, whose credits include work with Hot Mulligan, Crime in Stereo and Leisure Hour. Cioni has become a recurring presence behind recent emo and post-hardcore records in the United States.
No EP, full-length or tour dates have been announced so far. For now, the single stands alone as the band's first public statement, and "gm" can be streamed on digital platforms.
