Alternative Press has refreshed its weekly AP A-sides playlist, collecting ten tracks released over the past week across the broad alternative spectrum. The Oct. 30 edition spotlights PISS, quannnic, DIIV, Amira Elfeky and Wavves, among others.

One of the headline entries is Daisy Grenade's "A Beautiful Woman Is A Weapon, I Guess That's Why They Call Her A Bombshell," which features Fall Out Boy frontman Patrick Stump. The duo has been steadily climbing in the scene and recently appeared in a published conversation alongside Fall Out Boy's Pete Wentz.

Another cross-generational team-up shows up in Taleen Kali's "Black Rose," recorded with AFI bassist Hunter Burgan. The rest of the list includes DIIV's "Evangelizer," Wavves' "We Get Around," quannnic's "Dot," PISS' "i wanted to be a singer" and Amira Elfeky's "I don't want to fall in love."

Rounding out the selections are bloodsports' "Ten Thousand Feet," Maiya Blaney's "for you" and Nine Perfect Lives' "Die." The publication notes there are no rigid genre rules behind the picks — the editors simply gather the songs they kept returning to, reflecting a definition of alternative that keeps shifting.

Updated every Friday, the playlist serves as a snapshot of what's moving between independent releases and established names, spanning guitar-driven rock, electronic production and more experimental corners of the scene.
