Andy Williams' Wife Announces Memorial for Late Guitarist and Wrestler

A large memorial is being organized to honor Andy Williams, the former Every Time I Die guitarist who also wrestled as "The Butcher." His wife, Hana DeVore, shared the news in a video posted to social media.

Williams died Sept. 5 at age 48 after collapsing during a wrestling event in Pennsylvania. DeVore did not name a date or location for the memorial, but confirmed she will be there. She also said she plans to return in the coming weeks to Buffalo, Williams' hometown.

In the video, DeVore explained that she had originally intended to step away from social media following her husband's death, spending time instead with the people closest to him on the West Coast. She changed her mind after friends told her about the wave of tributes and memories fans and peers had been posting.

She asked that those posts continue. "Please keep sharing stories, photos, videos," she said, adding that seeing him and hearing his voice has been what is keeping her going. DeVore noted that she had nearly nine years with Williams while many others knew him for decades, and said the stories have made her feel she knows him even better now.

Since his death, figures from both the music and wrestling worlds have remembered Williams for his kindness. DeVore confirmed that side of him was not reserved for the public eye, describing it as how he treated everyone on a daily basis. In a 2019 Instagram post, she wrote that the two first met in 2003 before reconnecting years later.
