Yellowcard Unveil 'Calvary Drive' From The Deluxe Edition Of 'Better Days'

Yellowcard have released 'Calvary Drive', a previously unheard song that will appear on the deluxe edition of their latest album 'Better Days'. The track leans into everything the band is known for: bright, melodic pop punk carried by nostalgia and a warm, summery lift.

While it is only surfacing now, 'Calvary Drive' was actually the starting point for the entire record. Ryan Key explained that it was the first demo the band worked on with Travis Barker and collaborator Nick Long, put together over a weekend while everyone was still figuring out how to work together. "It's fun to listen back now and hear where we started", the frontman said, pointing to how far the material travelled from that early sketch.

The deluxe edition of 'Better Days' arrives on September 18 through Better Noise and adds four new songs to the original tracklist. Among them are 'Love Letters Lost' with Matt Skiba of Alkaline Trio, 'You Broke Me Too' featuring Avril Lavigne, 'Hell With Me' with Steve Aoki, and a reworked version of 'Bedroom Posters' recorded alongside Good Charlotte. The sequence closes with an alternate take on the title track, listed as the 'Asleep Version'.

That Good Charlotte collaboration is already streaming, serving as a second preview of the expanded release. Taken together, the additions stretch out an album that was already built around reflection, while stacking the tracklist with familiar names from two decades of pop punk.
