unpeople have released 'blueprints', the latest taste of their debut album 'we are unpeople'. The track slows the band down to a glacial crawl without sacrificing any of the scale they have built their sound around, drawing on both brit-pop's most shimmering side and the core of British heavy music.

Singer and guitarist Jake Crawford said the subject matter was not an easy one for him to approach. He described the song as being broadly about propping up people whose behaviour is clearly damaging to themselves and to those around them, people concerned only with their own interests. "Take from that what you will", he added.

Crawford also outlined how the song came together. Luke wrote the bulk of it and brought it to the band with the chorus lyrics and melody already finished. The group liked it enough to keep that version almost untouched, with Crawford expanding on the mood through the verses.

'we are unpeople' is due on October 9 via SharpTone Records, following earlier single 'friends'. The record lands in the middle of a heavy run of live dates that stretches into 2027.

September and October bring shows in Watford, Lincoln, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle, Cambridge, Birmingham, Portsmouth, Norwich, Folkestone, London and Bristol. November and December take in Bristol, Newcastle, Manchester, Glasgow, Wolverhampton and London. January 2027 then covers Dublin, Belfast, Bristol, Leeds, Manchester, Glasgow, Birmingham, Nottingham and London's Electric Ballroom. Don Broco and Royal Blood feature on those first two stretches of dates.
