Turnstile Puts Elton John and Dying Fetus on the Same Album

Turnstile has revealed the lineup of guests featured on Never Enough: Versions, a "reimagined" version of Never Enough, the album the band released in 2025. The announcement went up Friday (Aug. 21), and two names listed back-to-back immediately stood out: Elton John and Dying Fetus.

By all accounts, it marks the first time the British singer has appeared on the same release as the American death metal band, known for tracks such as "Grotesque Impalement," "Wrong One to Fuck With" and "Pissing in the Mainstream." Credit for the unlikely pairing goes to Turnstile, currently one of the most talked-about acts in hardcore.

The guest list doesn't stop there. The project also includes Paramore vocalist Hayley Williams, hyperpop singer Slayyyter and Angel Du$t, the Baltimore hardcore band that once counted Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates among its members.

For anyone who has followed Elton John's career, his presence on a hardcore record is less surprising than it might sound. At 79, the performer has a long track record of teaming up with artists from genres far removed from his own, including a wide range of rock acts over the decades.

Turnstile did not detail release dates or formats for Never Enough: Versions in the post. Never Enough, the album at the center of the project, arrived in 2025 and pushed the band's reach well beyond the hardcore circuit.
