The Used set LA screening for A Midsummer Night's Symphony
The concert film, shot at the Sydney Opera House, finds the band rebuilding fan favorites with a full orchestra and choir
The Used have scheduled a Los Angeles screening of The Used: A Midsummer Night's Symphony for Oct. 28. The concert film was captured in March at the Sydney Opera House, where the band performed alongside a full orchestra and choir.
The set reworks songs from across the group's catalog, including "I Caught Fire" and "The Taste of Ink." The symphonic treatment reframes material originally built on guitars, pushing the arrangements into orchestral territory.
The Los Angeles event goes beyond the screening itself. Once the film ends, the band will take part in an intimate Q&A with the audience in attendance. Tickets for the night are on sale now.
For anyone unable to attend in person, both the full film and the Q&A will be available through Veeps, the streaming platform that has become a regular home for live releases from artists in the alternative scene. The project arrives as the band continues to revisit its own history, including recent attention paid to the era surrounding In Love and Death.
