The Tullamarines return with new single 'Flight Path'

The Tullamarines have released 'Flight Path', their first piece of new music of 2026. The song sits at the crossover point between pop-rock and indie, pairing big, classic-leaning arrangements with a modern, openly earnest delivery. It follows the band's 2025 EP 'Safety Blanket'.

Vocalist Ben Waltho says the track was born out of a creative dead end. Two very different demos were stitched together in an attempt to break a long period without writing, and the result became 'Flight Path'. "Flight Path is first and foremost about writer's block," he said.

The lyrics branch out from there. Waltho points to losing confidence while growing up, the urge to go home and hide from the world, and the difficulty of being honest with yourself and others. He describes the song as a mosaic of thoughts and feelings that sit in the background of everyday life before surfacing all at once.

Alongside the studio version, the band have also shared a full live performance of the track. 'Flight Path' is out now on streaming platforms.
