Taking Back Sunday mark 20 years of Louder Now at Brooklyn Paramount
The New York date featured Thrice and Saves the Day, and the anniversary run continues next month at Red Rocks
Taking Back Sunday played Brooklyn Paramount in New York over the weekend, one stop on the fall tour celebrating the 20th anniversary of Louder Now. Thrice and Saves the Day handled support duties for the night.
The set leaned heavily on the album being honored. After a quick tease of "Circle of Life," the band moved into "What's It Feel Like to Be a Ghost?" and "Liar (It Takes One to Know One)," and later worked through "Set Phasers to Stun," "Error: Operator," "Twenty-Twenty Surgery," "You're So Last Summer," "Timberwolves at New Jersey" and "A Decade Under the Influence."
The closing stretch brought "Lightbringer," "Miami," "You Can't Look Back," "Cute Without the 'E' (Cut From the Team)" and "MakeDamnSure," sending the room out on the songs that have anchored the band's catalog for two decades.
The Brooklyn show follows recent appearances at Louder Than Life and Riot Fest, where the group performed Louder Now in full. That approach returns next month for a headline date at Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre, where the record will again be played start to finish, this time with former member Fred Mascherino joining in.
The full setlist was documented by Setlist.fm, and photos from the New York performance were shot by Dimitry Mak.
