Taking Back Sunday issue 20th anniversary edition of "Louder Now"
Out now via Craft Recordings, the reissue adds B-sides "Brooklyn (If You See Something, Say Something)" and "Sleep" plus multiple limited color vinyl variants.
Taking Back Sunday have released a 20th anniversary edition of Louder Now, out today through Craft Recordings. The package pairs the original 2006 album with two B-sides, "Brooklyn (If You See Something, Say Something)" and "Sleep," included on an exclusive 7-inch with the vinyl edition and appended to the deluxe CD.
The widely available LP comes on "Silver Screen" vinyl, with limited pressings split across retailers: ultra-clear with glitter and a replica laminate through the band's store, "Burgundy Metallic" via Craft Recordings, "Coke Bottle clear" at independent retail, "Amazonite Swirl" through Revolver/Alt. Press, and "Umber Brown" at Zia Records and Seasick Records. Select stores worldwide also carry a standalone "Oxblood" single-LP pressing of the original album.
Louder Now was the band's first record for a major label, Warner Bros. Records, and was produced by Eric Valentine. It debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, went Gold within two months and delivered "MakeDamnSure," the single that pushed the Long Island band onto alternative radio and MTV alongside tracks like "What's It Feel Like To Be A Ghost?" and "Liar (It Takes One To Know One)."
The reissue lands during one of the band's busiest touring years. Taking Back Sunday played all five dates of the returning Vans Warped Tour, wrapped a North American run with Bayside and are currently on the road in the U.S. with Thrice and Saves The Day. Festival stops included Louder Than Life in Columbus and Shaky Knees in Atlanta, plus a full performance of Louder Now at Riot Fest in Chicago and another at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado.
In 2026, Adam Lazzara, John Nolan and Shaun Cooper brought back guitarist and vocalist Fred Mascherino, who played on both Where You Want To Be and Louder Now. With touring musicians Nathan Cogan Post and Mitch Register, the expanded lineup now works with three guitars onstage. "The songs sound stronger than I can ever remember live," Lazzara said.
