Syd For Solen brings Turnstile, Amyl and the Sniffers and Geese to Copenhagen

Syd For Solen wrapped its 2026 edition in Copenhagen, Denmark, with a three-day bill that included Turnstile, Amyl and the Sniffers, Geese, Wilco, Dijon, Horsegirl, Blood Orange, sombr and Fcukers, among other names from the wider alternative circuit.

What set the event apart from bigger European festivals was its scale. There is no camping area and no long trek between stages, which cut down on the usual math of leaving one set early to catch another. Even with a stacked lineup, full performances were possible without sacrificing half a set. Attendees also report that organizers have been adjusting details from year to year based on audience feedback.

Friday held two of the weekend's high points with Wilco and Turnstile, while Saturday ran through Geese and closed out with Fcukers. On Thursday, supermodel* was forced to cancel after an airline lost his luggage, leaving Amyl and the Sniffers as the day's first major set.

The Australian band played at 4:30 p.m. in punishing heat, with the field far from full, and still drew a mosh pit. Amy Taylor barely stopped moving, while drummer Bryce Wilson turned up in a Danish football shirt, a detail the Copenhagen crowd immediately took to. "Security," "Me and the Girls" and "Guided by Angels" all made the setlist.

sombr drew one of the fuller front sections of the day, with a notably young crowd, many of them attending alongside their parents. His set leaned heavily theatrical: roses, a Danish flag, a spray-painted banner and, eventually, a jump into the water behind the stage. Dijon, meanwhile, delivered a louder and messier show than expected, with "Higher!" and "Rodeo Clown" standing out.
