Stephen Egerton, None Shall Sleep and Old Sparky headline this week's punk roundup

The Descendents guitarist returns with his first solo album in sixteen years, again tracked at Abbey Road, and plays a solo set at Riot Fest

Descendents guitarist Stephen Egerton is back with a solo record. I Think You're Over Thinking This is his first solo full-length in sixteen years, and like his previous effort, the instruments were recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Recording Studio. The latest single pulled from it is "Roland Grace."

Egerton is currently touring alongside the Descendents and Social Distortion, but fans can also catch him on his own: he performs a solo set at Riot Fest on the Radical Stage on September 18, 2026, at 4:15 PM.

Over in New Jersey, None Shall Sleep put out their newest album, Bread and Circuses, on August 22. The record features the track "If Not Now" and keeps the punk rock angst the veteran group is known for.

Maine's Slim Jim Carrey recently released the EP Alrighty Then through Ninja Yeti Records, and the band has also shared a music video for the song "Crack the Code."

Rounding out the batch is Old Sparky, formed in 2018 in Muenster, Germany. The band lands somewhere between old school, skate and melodic punk, a blend heard across their latest album, Mad At The World, released earlier this year.
