Ronnie Radke shuts down the "industry plant" talk around Yungblud
Loudwire / Reported from

Falling in Reverse singer Ronnie Radke has pushed back on the widespread claim that Yungblud is an "industry plant." Speaking with Rock Feed, Radke said the accusation misses the mark and pointed instead to the people working behind the scenes of the British singer's career.

Radke recalled sharing the road with Yungblud on Warped Tour in 2012, noting that there was already buzz around him at the time. "He's not an industry plant," Radke said, adding that he considers Yungblud a phenomenal vocalist, particularly in a live setting.

According to Radke, the "future of rock" narrative attached to Yungblud was pushed by publicists and handlers rather than by the artist himself, who he assumes dislikes the framing. He suggested that business deals involving executives at major companies have made Yungblud's story read as less authentic than it actually is, something he insisted is not the singer's fault. Radke also said he wishes Yungblud were less afraid to chase opportunities that carry more risk.

The two are in very different places right now. Falling in Reverse released the new song "Joseph" last week, featuring guest appearances from Corey Taylor and Serj Tankian, and the band is currently on the "God Is a Weapon" tour through Sept. 26, with Slaughter to Prevail, Wage War, Hollywood Undead, Tech N9ne, Sleep Theory and Point North appearing on select dates.

Yungblud, meanwhile, spent much of the year promoting his Idols album. With touring wrapped for now, he is taking time off before beginning work on his next record.
