Rise Against's Tim McIlrath is the latest guest on Joel Madden's Artist Friendly
The frontman talks about what's next for the Chicago band in an episode streaming now on podcast platforms and Veeps.
Tim McIlrath of Rise Against is the newest guest on Artist Friendly, the interview series hosted by Joel Madden. The episode is available now wherever podcasts stream, and the video version can be watched on Veeps.
McIlrath follows recent guests Travie McCoy of Gym Class Heroes, Mikaela Hoover and Andrew McMahon. During the conversation, the singer discusses what's coming next for Rise Against, who are currently out on a co-headlining run with Alkaline Trio.
The Chicago band has long tied its work to the political hardcore lineage of Bad Brains, Minor Threat and 7 Seconds, turning that influence into anthems of its own. That arc stretches from the raw attack of 2001's The Unraveling to the heavier themes of last year's Ricochet.
Rise Against have also used their platform to push newer alternative acts, taking Koyo, Destroy Boys and Spiritual Cramp on the road with them. More Artist Friendly episodes and announcements are on the way.
