Palaye Royale have announced Amsterdamage, their new album, due Jan. 22 through Sumerian Records. The band wrote the record across 2025 while touring, then wrapped it up at producer Chris Greatti's studio in Los Angeles.

The sessions carried added weight after the Barrett brothers lost their mother in 2024. Drummer Emerson Barrett said the album is what kept the group intact during that period, calling it "our phoenix rising from the ashes." He described how each member processed the loss differently before reconnecting as individuals, with their partners and as brothers, with the creative bond holding everything together.

Lead single "Lost In Translation" is out now and leans on the mid-2000s British rock the band grew up listening to. Vocalist Remington Leith said the track came from a nostalgic place and was built to translate live, with an upbeat push behind it. Lyrically, it deals with trying to force something to work, whether a dream or a relationship, when everything seems to stand in the way.

A large international tour follows next year in support of the album. The run starts in Europe and the U.K. before moving to North America, where Beauty School Dropout will open the shows.

Alternative Press has also put together exclusive vinyl and cassette pressings of Amsterdamage, limited to 250 and 50 copies respectively.
