Niis share "No Flowers" ahead of new EP "Play Niis"
The single arrives with a video and previews the record due Oct. 23 via Rise, just before the band joins Movements and Balance and Composure on tour.
Niis have put out "No Flowers," a new song lifted from their upcoming EP "Play Niis," arriving Oct. 23 through Rise Records. The track comes with an accompanying music video.
The band wrote the EP during a stretch shaped by heartbreak and uncertainty. Across the record, the songs deal with breaking out of societal monotony and finding a way back to joy, emotion and human connection.
Speaking with Alternative Press last month, Doe laid out the intent behind the release: "I want someone to hear at least one song they can relate to on some level." She pointed to the noise of social media, the internet and the general state of the world as things getting in the way of people forming real relationships, and said the goal is for listeners to find a point of connection somewhere on the EP.
Next week, Niis head out on the road in support of Movements, with Balance and Composure and Midrift also on the bill. The full run of dates has already been announced.
