My Chemical Romance unveil unreleased track 'Someone Out There Loves You'
The live recording from Maxwell's in Hoboken, New Jersey, captured on the 2007 tour, arrives ahead of the 20th anniversary edition of 'The Black Parade'
My Chemical Romance have released 'Someone Out There Loves You', a song that had never been officially available until now. It is one of the bonus features tied to the 20th anniversary edition of 'The Black Parade', set for release on October 23 and currently open for pre-order.
The version shared is a live recording taken from the band's show at Maxwell's in Hoboken, New Jersey, part of the original album tour in 2007. The track sits somewhere between the chaos of the 'Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge' period and the theatrical scale of 'The Black Parade', while also hinting at the direction later explored on 'Conventional Weapons' and 'Danger Days'. A performance of 'Dead!' from the same night has also surfaced.
In a message to fans, the band reflected on writing the record two decades ago as the follow-up to 'Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge', admitting they could not have predicted what it would come to mean. At the time, they said, they only knew they had made "something crazy".
The expanded release gathers, for the first time in one collection, everything completed during those sessions. Alongside the original fourteen-track album, it includes 'Heaven Help Us', 'Kill All Your Friends' and 'My Way Home Is Through You', plus live takes of 'Dead!', 'The Sharpest Lives' and 'Someone Out There Loves You'.
Most of those extras are exclusive to the deluxe editions, while 'Someone Out There Loves You' appears across all deluxe formats as well as the One Step 2LP.
