Louder Than Life 2026 ran from Sept. 17 to 20 at the Kentucky Expo Center in Louisville, and the four-day festival produced some of the most talked-about moments of the season, from Circa Survive's festival comeback to a storm evacuation and a serious injury in the crowd.

Circa Survive, who announced an indefinite hiatus in 2022 and returned to activity this year, played Saturday in what was only their fourth show since reuniting and their first festival appearance in nearly five years. The 12-song set opened with "Holding Someone's Hair Back" and closed with "Get Out." The band had played three nights at The Fillmore in Philadelphia the week before.

On Friday afternoon, fans were evacuated from the venue due to severe weather. The warning came shortly after 3PM and gates reopened just before 5:30PM, forcing organizers to shift set times. Headliners My Chemical Romance went on after 10PM instead of 9:25PM. Riot Fest in Chicago and Shaky Knees in Atlanta also dealt with weather that weekend.

The weekend's most serious incident happened during Knocked Loose's Friday set. According to WHAS 11, Jamie Ulshoffer was knocked unconscious after a man allegedly fell from a tree and landed on her. She says she is now paralyzed from the waist down, and a family member started a GoFundMe to cover medical costs.

Papa Roach pulled out of the festival because of an "unexpected emergency" involving bassist Tobin Esperance. From Ashes to New played Thursday without being sprayed with water guns, despite online threats to do so. During Limp Bizkit's Saturday headlining slot, Fred Durst paused the show to clear a path for medics. Tool closed the festival Sunday with a 10-song set, with Maynard James Keenan using a cane weeks after hip replacement surgery.
