The Florida ska punk veterans and the Japanese band each contribute three songs to the release, out now on Pure Noise Records.

Less Than Jake and Hey-Smith have released a split 12-inch EP titled Unity. The record is out now through Pure Noise Records.

The release follows the traditional split format: each band delivers three songs, for a total of six tracks. It pairs two acts from different scenes that share the same horn-driven, fast-paced approach to ska punk.

Less Than Jake remain one of the cornerstones of American ska punk, with decades of records and near-constant touring behind them. Hey-Smith, for their part, have built an audience well beyond Japan by taking their take on the genre to festivals and tours abroad.

Songs from the EP are already available to stream. The project underlines the connection between the two bands, who have long operated in overlapping corners of the international ska punk circuit.

Unity is available now, both digitally and as a 12-inch vinyl release.
