K7s Are Back With "Take Two", Their Long-Awaited Second Album

The record collects a dozen new songs ranging from classic power pop to fast punk rock, out now on streaming, CD and two vinyl variants.

Pop punk veterans K7s have returned with Take Two, their long-awaited second studio album — or third, if you count their Mondo Bizarro covers record. The release gathers twelve new tracks that move between classic power pop and faster, harder punk rock.

Songwriting duties fall to Luis Sanchez, also known for his work in Depressing Claim and Los Reactivos. The tracklist swings between very different moods: the dark, angst-driven Only Human sits alongside the sweet love song Marry You, while The Beginning Of The End leans into pure melodic pop and features backing vocals from bassist Kurt Baker. The politically charged T.R.U.M.P. follows soon after, without breaking the album's flow.

Take Two is available now on streaming platforms, as well as on CD and on two vinyl variants, pressed in 'space blue' and 'classic black'. The physical release is handled by different labels depending on the territory: Stardumb Records in Europe, Brassneck Records in the UK, The Machine Shop in the US and Endless Detention Records in Australia.

The comeback puts K7s back in circulation within a melodic punk tradition built on direct guitars and big hooks, with an album that makes room for both its lightest pop moments and its most aggressive ones.
