Hayley Williams performs "Airplanes" live for the first time in 16 years
Rico Nasty took over B.o.B's rap verses as the Paramore singer revived the 2010 hit during the encore of her second Forest Hills Stadium show.
Hayley Williams sang "Airplanes" onstage for the first time in 16 years. The 2010 collaboration with rapper B.o.B resurfaced during the encore of Thursday's concert at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, the second of two nights the Paramore frontwoman played at the venue.
Rico Nasty, who opened the show, joined Williams for the performance and handled the rap verses originally recorded by B.o.B. Williams had not performed the song live since joining B.o.B onstage in Nashville in December 2010. "Airplanes" peaked at #2 on the Hot 100 and reached #1 in the UK.
The dates are part of a run billed as the Hayley Williams Show, built around material from across her solo catalog. A teaser posted in April for the Forest Hills shows featured lyrics from "Stay The Night," her collaboration with Zedd, while the Hollywood Bowl teaser used "Airplanes" — fueling speculation that the Zedd track could turn up in Los Angeles.
Williams has kept a heavy workload beyond Paramore and her solo records, including the new side project Power Snatch and a steady stream of guest features. The latest arrived this week with her appearance on Beabadoobee's newly released album Pylon.
