Former Every Time I Die guitarist Andy Williams collapsed during a wrestling match on Saturday night at an Enjoy Wrestling event in Millvale, Pennsylvania. He was competing in a tag team bout when the medical emergency occurred.

Alongside his music career, Williams has long wrestled under the name The Butcher, with stints in All Elite Wrestling and independent promotions across the Northeast. Wrestling site Fightful reported that his legs buckled before he went down, and that his partner, The Blade, tried to help him back to his feet before Williams passed out. Attendees told the site a defibrillator was used on him before he was carried out of the venue in an ambulance.

In a statement posted to social media, Enjoy Wrestling said the collapse happened near the end of the match and that its on-site doctors performed CPR until paramedics arrived. The promotion added that it sent fans home and was waiting for updates at the hospital. The rest of the card, a five-year anniversary celebration, was called off. Williams and The Blade were challenging TME for the tag team titles at the time. The pair had hosted a wrestling seminar for the promotion the night before.

Williams has spent 2026 focused on Atomic Rule, his new metalcore band featuring vocalist James Henderson, bassist Travis Bennington of Eternal Sleep and former The Acacia Strain drummer Kevin Boutot. Hours before the incident, he posted a video on the band's social channels saying he was "stoked" that the group had wrapped writing and tracked demos for new material, while teasing announcements in the coming weeks.
