Deux Visages announce debut album Call It Goodbye via Pure Noise Records
The record arrives Nov. 6 and is led by "Automatic," a track born from the collapse of the band's first record deal.
Deux Visages have shared details of their first full-length. Titled Call It Goodbye, the album is due Nov. 6 through Pure Noise Records and works as a coming-of-age story, tracing youth, new experiences and the weight of leaving things behind.
Writing on Instagram, the band explained that several of these songs had been sitting unreleased for a long stretch. "We've been holding onto this album and some of these songs for years," they said, adding that various circumstances kept the material on hold and calling the finished record a genuine reflection of who they are.
Leading the announcement is "Automatic," a song about feeling inferior. Vocalist Daphney Hanono tied the lyric to the fallout of the group's first record deal, a period when they were still finding their footing as a young touring band and didn't feel ready to handle that scale of change.
Live, Deux Visages recently wrapped a run with Sweet Pill and will next open part of the Linda Lindas' East Coast dates. The video for "Automatic" is out now, offering a first look at what the November release will sound like.
