DeeCRACKS Return With "True Nothing", Their First New Album Since 2021
The Vienna punk trio packed 18 fresh songs into the record, out now on streaming, Bandcamp and four vinyl variants through labels in five countries.
Austrian punk veterans DeeCRACKS have released "True Nothing", an 18-song full length that marks their first album of new material since 2021. The record is available now on streaming platforms and Bandcamp.
The vinyl edition comes in four pressings: watermelon cream, ultra clear, bone and pink splatter, and classic black. Releases are handled by Pirates Press Records in the US, Lotterlabel in Austria, CoreTex Records in Germany, Striped Music in Italy and Plastic Head in the UK.
The Vienna band stayed busy between albums. They marked their 20th anniversary in 2023 by re-recording fan favorites across three 10-inch records for "20 Years. A Frantic Effort", and in 2024 they backed Andrea Manges on a full album cover of the Ramones classic "Brain Drain", all while keeping a relentless worldwide touring schedule.
Sonically, "True Nothing" delivers what longtime listeners expect from the group: buzzsaw guitars, tightly executed melodies and some of the catchiest punk rock this side of Forest Hills, Queens. Beneath the pop sheen, though, the songs carry a darker current, dealing with mental illness, relationships and everyday struggles in a direct, confessional way.
The album is streaming in full now.
