Cretin Family salute Ramones' 50th with Billy Idol and The Linda Lindas

Cretin Family took the stage last night at Hollywood Forever Cemetery for a show marking the 50th anniversary of the Ramones. The group, made up of CJ Ramone, Tim Armstrong, Billie Joe Armstrong and Travis Barker, ran through a set built entirely from Ramones material.
Several guests turned up over the course of the night. Fred Armisen handled drums on "Danny Says," and The Linda Lindas joined the band for two songs. Late in the performance, Billy Idol came out for three more tunes; the singer has taken part in Ramones tribute events in the past.
Cretin Family brings together a heavy lineup of punk veterans, pairing the former Ramones bassist with the frontmen of Rancid and Green Day and the drummer of blink-182. Their appearances have been anchored around the Ramones catalog.
Hollywood Forever Cemetery, which regularly hosts concerts and outdoor screenings, gave the tribute an added layer of symbolism given its ties to the band's history. The full setlist from the night circulated online after the show, alongside fan-shot footage of the performance.
