Cosmic Joke announce new album Suburban Decay and share "No Threat"
The Los Angeles band's 12-track record arrives November 13 via Revelation Records, following their 2024 debut and a guest-filled covers EP.
Los Angeles outfit Cosmic Joke have announced their new album. Suburban Decay lands November 13 through Revelation Records and collects 12 songs built on the band's usual approach: hardcore played with pop-punk instincts, drawing from the melodic SoCal groups of the 1980s.
The first taste is out now. "No Threat" runs just under two minutes, powered by walking basslines and a sturdy breakdown that never sacrifices the hooks. It's a snotty singalong in the Descendents and Adolescents tradition, which is exactly where the band has planted its flag.
Cosmic Joke introduced themselves with a debut LP in 2024, then followed it last year with a covers EP stacked with guests, released to benefit wildfire relief efforts. Suburban Decay picks up where those records left off.
The full tracklist runs "Proper Villains," "Off With Their Heads," "No Threat," "Extinction," "Checkered Past," "Seasonal Decompression," "Suburban Decay," "Referee," "Agnostic (One Size Fits All)," "Conflict Of Interest," "Parasite" and "The Good Things I Don't Deserve." Pre-orders are already open.
