Chile's MyHoliday win Hard Rock Rising Santiago and set their sights on Brazil

Anyone who grew up on 2000s pop punk will recognize themselves in MyHoliday. The band from Santiago, Chile, started out early that decade, among guitars, friendships and small shows. More than 20 years later, the members have jobs, families and responsibilities, and they are still making music. That shift is where the new songs come from.

"We grew up. Life changed. The songs and the urge to get on stage are still there," the band sums up in its 2026 press kit.

Two singles about time gone by

The new chapter opened with two releases. "20 Años Después" ("20 Years Later") is about coming back, nostalgia and reunion. "Adulto Responsable" ("Responsible Adult") looks at adult life for a generation raised on punk rock. Both tracks will be on the next album, planned for late 2026.

The sound starts from pop punk and melodic punk rock and adds alternative rock, urban elements and a DJ scratching live on stage. The references the band itself names are New Found Glory, Neck Deep, MxPx, NOFX and Blink-182.

The current lineup has five members: Camilo Yavar (vocals), Ivan Narvarte (guitar), Jorge Santander (bass and backing vocals), Bianco Alfaro (drums) and DJ NeoPipo (DJ and scratches). The older catalog includes an 11-song demo from 2013 and the 2018 single "Parte de Mi Vida".

Champions in Santiago

MyHoliday was one of the bands picked from more than 300 entries for Hard Rock Rising Santiago 2026, the Hard Rock Cafe chain's battle of the bands. On September 16 it won the Alternative Rock & Indie heat against Ginebra and Infinitos Monos. In the final, on September 23, it beat Helegardh and Alicia y Las Hormigas to take the title.

The win earns Santiago's spot in the global stage of the competition, with a chance to represent Chile internationally. The band's return and its run in the contest drew coverage in the Chilean press, in outlets such as Rockaxis, Rock & Pop, Radio Futuro and Rock Legacy.

Looking toward Brazil

After the title, the band wants to take its music to other Latin American countries and start building ties with Brazil's pop punk, punk rock, emo and melodic hardcore scene. Press, booking and social media contact is through Instagram at @myholidayband.

The singles are on Spotify, at the link below, as well as on Apple Music, Amazon Music, YouTube Music and Deezer.
