Beatnik Termites' "Girl Crazy!" gets its first-ever vinyl pressing
Mom's Basement Records is reissuing the 2003 album across four color variants limited to 100 copies each, with new cover art, going on sale Friday, August 21st.
Beatnik Termites' album Girl Crazy! is finally getting a vinyl release. Mom's Basement Records is handling the reissue, which goes on sale this Friday, August 21st, marking the first time the record has been pressed on wax.
Originally issued in 2003, Girl Crazy! had only ever been available on CD. The album runs through nine tracks in a little under 20 minutes, keeping to the short and fast format the band built its catalog around. The vinyl edition arrives in a sleeve with freshly reworked cover art.
The pressing is split into four color variants, each capped at 100 copies. Buyers in the United States can order through the Mom's Basement webstore, while European customers will find it via I Buy Records. Both stores open sales on the same day.
Given how few copies exist of each variant, the run is expected to move quickly, as tends to happen with catalog reissues in the genre. The release also puts back into circulation a title that spent more than two decades limited to CD and digital formats.
